Preschool Teacher : Full Time, 35 hours a week part year, August to May. Closed during Summer.
This position serves in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment to expand children’s ability to learn, grow, and build trusting relationships. This role works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children and provides daily supervision and support for children’s developmental needs.
Salary: The hourly wage range is $17.21 - $24.71
The minimum requirements for this position are;
Possess a Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
OR must be currently enrolled in courses to obtain the degree requirement, be willing to obtain CDA and qualify for a waiver while finishing ECE coursework. Tri-County Head Start will provide opportunities for training support to get a teacher’s qualification, including CDA support and coaching. TCHS will obtain the appropriate waiver on your behalf.
TCHS will offer financial support toward a BA or AA degree in Early Childhood Education per policy.
Previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years preferred.
