Toddler Teacher: Full Time; 40 hours per week for 52 weeks. Schedule: Monday - Friday from 7:15 AM - 3:15 PM.
Position Purpose: This position serves in a classroom to provide an appropriate social and emotional environment to expand children’s ability to learn, grow, and build trusting relationships. This role works in a classroom-based setting with typically and atypically developing children and provides daily supervision and support for children’s developmental needs. Positions may be reassigned to various classrooms/centers for program operations.
Pay Range: The hourly wage ranges from $17.05 - $25.25 depending on education level and experience.
Preferred Experience:
Previous experience working in early childhood with children ages birth through five years and holding:
A higher education degree with 18 credit hours of foundational Early Childhood courses completed, or
A current Infant/Toddler CDA
Minimum requirements:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent certificate AND some college coursework OR ongoing ECE professional development.
Willing to obtain CDA within the first year of hire. Tri-County Head Start will provide opportunities for training support to obtain a teacher’s qualification, including CDA support and coaching.
Three months of previous experience working with children and/or youth in a professional setting.
